How long should it take to charge my Hover Assault?

Your Hover Assault will take around 30-45 minutes to charge. You will know when the helicopter is fully charged because the red and green lights on your controller will be flashing together!

Where can I fly my Hover Assault?

Your Hover Assault is designed to be flown indoors only, so do not fly it outside! The room you are in should have lots of space to fly with no breakable objects. Try to avoid direct sunlight or other IR (infrared) devices. The IR signal between the controller and the heli will not work well near sunlight so you may lose connection and crash. It’s also a really small helicopter - it doesn’t take much to knock the little guy off course! Turn off any ceiling fans and stay away from any other air vents.

What do the controller / helicopter lights mean for my Hover Assault?

Here are the different types of lights you may get on your remote control or helicopter and what they mean:

How do I install batteries in my Hover Assault controller?

You will need: (not included with your Hover Assault Helicopter)

• 1x Phillips Screwdriver


• 6x AA New Premium Alkaline Non-Rechargeable Batteries of the same brand.

AND

• 1x Hover Assault Helicopter


• 1x Hover Assault Helicopter Remote Control/Charger

Installing the Batteries

1. Open the battery door cover using your Phillips Screwdriver.


2. Remove any used batteries from your remote control.


3. Put in your new batteries as shown in the battery compartment of your remote.


4. Using the Phillips Screwdriver, screw in the battery door cover back onto the remote control.

How far can my Hover Assault fly?

The signal is good for around 20-30 feet. This should be plenty of distance for most indoor areas you will be flying your Hover Assault!

Can I fly more than one Hover Assault at a time?

You can fly 2 Hover Assault helicopters together at any one time; just make sure you have 2 helicopters in 2 separate frequencies – either A, or B. The frequency will be printed on the front of the box in the lower right hand corner, or on the underside of the helicopter.

How long will my Hover Assault fly for?

The average flight time for your Hover Assault Helicopter is around 4 to 5 minutes on a full charge. The flight time may vary depending on where you’re flying it, the type of batteries you are using, and how much throttle you give the helicopter!

How do I charge my Hover Assault?

What you need:

• 1x Hover Assault Helicopter
• 
  
• 1x Hover Assault Helicopter remote/charger with batteries already installed.

1. Your remote control for your Hover Assault Helicopter is also your charger. Lift up the charge cable cover located in the middle of your controller indicated by the "AIR HOGS" logo.
   
2. Make sure that both the Remote and the Hover Assault Helicopter power switches are turned to the "OFF" position.
   
3. Plug in the end of the charging wire into the charge port square on the side or bottom of the helicopter. You will want to make sure that the little arrow on the end of the charge cord lines up with the arrow on the charge port of the toy.
   
4. Once plugged in, turn the power switch on the Remote Control/Charger down to the "CHG" position. You will know that the Helicopter is charging when you see the Red charging light blinking on the remote.
   
5. When your helicopter is fully charged, both the Red charge light and Green power light will flash off and on together. Once complete, turn everything off and unplug and store the cord back in the remote. You are now ready to fly!

My Hover Assault keeps spinning! What do I do?

If your helicopter is spinning in circles, the first thing you’re going to want to do is check all your rotors to see if there is any hair or debris caught in that area. Even just one little piece of hair can make your helicopter spin out of control!

Now try and fly your helicopter. If it’s still spinning, the next step would be to “trim” your helicopter.
See that little dial on your controller that says "Trim"? This will help you get your helicopter to stop spinning.

Setting the Trim:

1. Figure out which direction your helicopter is spinning. Are you spinning to the left (counter-clockwise) or to the right (clockwise)?
   
2. Make sure your remote is pointed at the helicopter for the best possible response.
   
3. Give your helicopter a bit of throttle and get it up in the air. Start trimming in the opposite direction of the spin.
   • If your helicopter is spinning to the right (clockwise), turn the trim dial counter-clockwise.
   • Same thing goes for the other way around. If your helicopter is spinning to the left (counter-clockwise), turn the trim dial clockwise.
   • 
     
     

• The trim might need to be fixed after charging the helicopter and it will definitely need to be adjusted after crashes!
• 
  
• Sometimes you’ll need to rotate the trim dial only 5 times or so, and sometimes you’ll need to rotate the trim dial up to 50 times. Try trimming it just a little bit. If it seems like it’s working, but it’s not quite there yet, turn it a few times more. It’ll even out eventually, so be patient!
• 
  
• If your helicopter starts to spin the other way after trimming, you may have over-trimmed! If this happens, all you need to do is trim it in the opposite direction.
• 
  
  

Troubleshooting
If you’ve trimmed your helicopter and it is still spinning in circles, check for the following:

Signal Interference: Fly indoors. Sunlight and other strong light sources may interfere with the signal from the remote to the helicopter, so try and stay away from these. Make sure you are also not flying around other R/C product that might be sharing the same channel/frequency/bandwidth.
Batteries: For trimming to work, your helicopter needs to be fully charged. Make sure you are using brand new, premium, non-rechargeable batteries.
